Anyone who wants to perform at their best on the ice needs not only high-quality skates, but also the perfect basic polish and professional advice. You'll get exactly that exclusively at the MVP Hockey Shop! Why is our service unbeatable? 1. Individual advice Every foot is unique – we scan your feet with state-of-the-art technology to determine the perfect fit. A well-fitting skate not only improves comfort but also performance on the ice. 2. Perfect basic grinding Our new PARDUC P40 profile grinding machine ensures precise and repeatable grinding. This ensures that both runners have exactly the same radius—an absolute prerequisite for maximum control and stability. But what does that mean in concrete terms? Better balance: A uniform grind enables optimal weight distribution More maneuverability: The individual radius allows you to optimize your cornering Efficient power transmission: Depending on your playing style, a certain radius can help you achieve more speed or more control 3. Optimal performance through professional polishing A poor or inaccurate grind can negatively impact the overall feel of the ball. Professionals don't leave the grind to chance—and neither should you! The MVP Hockey Shop employs experienced experts who also grind for National League clubs . Our goal: to provide you with the best possible performance. Why is the right cut so important? A skate is only as good as its grind! While many amateur skaters underestimate the importance of blade grind, professionals know that even small differences can have a huge impact on performance. A faulty or inappropriate grind, or an incorrect base/base grind, can lead to problems like: Poor grip on the ice → Insufficient grip during fast movements Difficult maneuverability → runners cut too deep or are too blunt Uncontrolled movements → Uneven grinding leads to unwanted tipping or slipping 🏒 Experience report: NHL star Nico Hischier on the perfect finish NHL players also rely on the perfect grind to perform at the highest level. Nico Hischier , captain of the New Jersey Devils, emphasizes the importance of precise blade grinding: "A poor grind can affect your entire game. I once played with an unsuitable grind, and my edges didn't grip properly—it cost me some important plays. A precise, individually tuned grind gives me the confidence that my movements on the ice can be executed perfectly." Hischier swears by the latest grinding technology and professional support – exactly what you get at the MVP Hockey Shop! 🏒 More than just a shop – your partner for the best equipment!
